Printing Methods
At Invitation Basket, we offer many different printing methods to achieve your desired look of invitations. You can use one method or mix multiple methods together. Below are descriptions of each method.

DIGITAL PRINTING
A modern form of printing that allows for the use of a wide array of CMYK colors. Digital printing is flat and can print multiple colors at the same time, which is great for invitations with a lot of artwork.

THERMOGRAPHY PRINTING
Like engraving, thermography is a raised typography, however, it is more cost effective. Using the process of dusting the ink with thermographic powder, then heated to fuse the powder to the ink and swell to create the raised ink. Thermography ink colors are PMS generated colors and metallic colors as well. Metallic Gold, Metallic Silver, Metallic Rose Gold, and Metallic Copper are the most common metallic colors printed.

LITHOGRAPHY PRINTING
Using the same press as Thermography printing you can use a method called Lithography. Unlike Thermography though, Lithography does not use thermography powder and is flat. Lithography ink colors are PMS generated colors and can use metallic inks. Metallic inks are not super shimmery. They do have a slight shimmer due to the metallic composition of the ink but since there is no metallic powder being fused, the ink does not become extremely metallic.

SILK SCREEN & UV PRINTING
Silk Screen & UV Printing is digital form of printing that uses an Ultra-Violet light to cure the ink. It is raised just like Thermography. Silk Screen & UV Printing is available in a wide array of colors using a CMYK code, however PMS match is easily achievable, as most of the time preferred. Since, it is a form of digital printing, we can print multi-color artwork as well. Typically, it is a more efficient way to get light colors on dark papers or substrates. Silk Screen & UV Printing is used to print on papers (light and dark), acrylic, wood, metal, cork, etc. Almost every material requested.
FOIL STAMPING
Foil stamping is the method of applying heat and pressure to apply foil to papers, suede, acrylic, and other substrates. Foil stamping usually uses a metallic foil, such as gold and silver, but can also be a gloss pigment color or a matte pigment color. Foil stamping can be used on its own or combined with all other printing methods.
